Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis is one of health problems in Blora that must be controlled. One
of the efforts made by the health authorities is to conduct surveillance of tuberculosis to
measure the achievements of the tuberculosis control program. Epidemiological surveillance
in order to work well it needs to be evaluated. The purpose of the evaluation of TB
surveillance was to identify the weaknesses of TB surveillance system in Blora.
Methods: This descriptive study was conducted on June 2014 by observation and interview
used questionnaire and checklist to TB programers and laboratory workers at Public Health
Center (PHC).
Results: All (100%) PHC already done the data collection, processing the data by table and
graphs 11.54%, made the distribution map 7.69%. Data analysis was done 11.54% PHC.
Dissemination of information was done by minlok every month. The accuracy of delivery
report of PHC was 46.15%. Only 69.23% PHC whom got feedback from Health Officer.
Conclusion: The weakness of TB surveillance systems in Blora caused of the programmer
just do surveillance activity till data collection step. Researcher suggest to WASOR of TB to
supervise TB programmers and laboratory workers routinely and intensively, so the quality
of surveillance system can be improved.
